The Type E drylining trims are used in conjunction with 12.5mm plasterboard where a raised or recessed feature is required and can be applied to both wall and ceiling applications. This trim can be custom formed with dimensions between 1mm and 99mm, and the profile can also be factory curved on request to suit customer requirements.

What is this trim used for?

Can this trim be curved?

Yes, dependent on the radius needed. Email sales@qic-direct.com with the trim and the radius required and we will check it is possible and send a quote.

Can you make a bespoke size or profile?

Yes. We offer bespoke trims cut from sheet metal as well as other extruded lengths. Email a drawing to sales@qic-direct.com and we will send a quotation.

Can I get a different colour?

Yes. Other RAL colours and finishes are available on request. Email sales@qic-direct.com with the colour you need and we will confirm price and lead time.

How to fit Type E edge trim

1 · Choose your size

E4 to E100 - pick the size to match the depth of the board edge or the raised/recessed feature.

2 · Set out

Mark where the plasterboard run stops or where the feature edge will be.

3 · Fix

Slot the board edge into the trim so the punched flange laps the board face, and fix through the pre-punched diagonal slots in the plastering fin with standard drywall screws into the framing.

4 · Finish

Tape and joint over the plastering fin, skim and decorate. Factory-curved and column-ring versions available to order.
