How to fit your floor spring

1 · Set out

Mark the pivot centre on the floor - it must sit plumb below the top pivot.

2 · Form the recess

Break out a recess for the cement box (L 275 x W 82 x H 50mm) and check there are no services in the floor.

3 · Set the box

Bed the cement box level and flush with the finished floor, spindle on the pivot centre. Let it set.

4 · Fit & connect

Fit the floor spring, then connect the door's bottom patch or offset pivot to the spindle.

5 · Adjust & cover

Adjust closing speed (valve 1) and final latching speed (valve 2), then fit the cover plate.
