Type W drylining trims create distinctive horizontal or vertical linear recess features in plasterboard walls, upstands, or ceilings. These architectural aluminium trims accept inserts for visual effects or wall covering retention systems. 

Type W trims can be curved to coordinate with both concave and convex partitions, walls or ceilings.

Can this trim be curved?

Yes, dependent on the radius needed. Email sales@qic-direct.com with the trim and the radius required and we will check it is possible and send a quote.

How to fit Type W recess trim

1 · Choose your size

W7, W12 or W25 recess width.

2 · Set out

Mark the line of the recess feature on the wall, upstand or ceiling.

3 · Fit between boards

Set the trim between two 12.5mm boards with a fin lapping each, and fix through the pre-punched diagonal slots in the plastering fin with standard drywall screws on both sides into the framing.

4 · Finish

Tape and joint over both fins, skim and decorate. Fit any inserts or wall-covering strips into the recess after decorating.
