Type SJA trims are used to create a shadow gap junction detail between mineral fibre, g.r.g, plasterboard or full module metal suspended ceiling tile systems and adjacent plasterboard areas. The horizontal web of the shadow gap can be factory slotted to form an air vent if required.

How to fit Type SJA

1 · Plan the junction

SJA03 forms a shadow-gap junction between a suspended tile ceiling and adjacent plasterboard.

2 · Fix the trim

Fix to the ceiling framing at the edge of the plasterboard area, level with the grid. Hang with suspension clip cleats where needed.

3 · Board

Fit the plasterboard over the plastering fin and fix through the pre-punched diagonal slots in the plastering fin with standard drywall screws.

4 · Lay tiles & join

Rest the tiles on the trim's support leg. Join lengths with ceiling trim joining cleats.

5 · Finish

Tape and joint the board side, skim and decorate.
