The Type RD drylining trims are used in conjunction with 15mm plasterboard. The trim is to be used in a horizontal or vertical setting to create a reveal detail. Can be used in a variety of different settings, including but not exclusive to drylining, suspended ceilings, door frames, skirting and window frames.

  • Supplied in 3000mm Lengths
  • Standard RAL colour of 9010 (Other RAL colours available on request)

What is this trim used for?

Can this trim be curved?

Yes, dependent on the radius needed. Email sales@qic-direct.com with the trim and the radius required and we will check it is possible and send a quote.

I'm using 12.5mm plasterboard - which trim do I need?

Use our Type R profile for 12.5mm plasterboard.

Can I get a different colour?

Yes. Other RAL colours and finishes are available on request. Email sales@qic-direct.com with the colour you need and we will confirm price and lead time.

How quickly will my order arrive?

How to fit Type RD shadow gap trim

1 · Choose your size

Pick the reveal width: RD10, RD12, RD15 or RD25. For 12.5mm board use Type R.

2 · Set out

Mark the line of the reveal where the drylining meets the suspended ceiling, door frame, skirting or window frame.

3 · Fix the trim

Fix the trim's return leg to the metal channel/framing at the abutment, keeping it straight and level.

4 · Board

Fit the 15mm plasterboard so its edge is captured by the trim, and fix through the pre-punched diagonal slots in the plastering fin with standard drywall screws through the board.

5 · Finish

Tape and joint over the plastering fin, skim and decorate. Curved versions can be factory made on request.
