    How to fit the narrow sash lock

    1 · Mark out

    Mark the lock centre line on the door edge and the 30mm backset on both faces.

    2 · Cut the mortice

    Cut the mortice in the stile to the lock case size (aluminium stiles are usually pre-prepared).

    3 · Drill the faces

    Drill for the euro cylinder and lever spindle at 85mm centres.

    4 · Fit the lock

    Fit the case, reverse the latch if needed and screw the forend.

    5 · Fit cylinder, handles & keep

    Fit the euro cylinder and handles, then the strike plate in the frame aligned with the latch and deadbolt.
